Today, we're thrilled to share some fantastic news! We've just become part of Carbon 13's 2nd Venture LaunchPad cohort. We feel honoured and elated to be working with the experienced and motivated domain experts at Carbon13, and alongside other incredible climate tech startups. Our collective goal? To use innovation to combat the climate emergency and work towards a more sustainable future.

Why Mosa?

On the surface, Mosa appears to be a startup using technology to tackle the widespread problem of bicycle theft. But how does this relate to climate issues?

Well, we're working on validating two major hypotheses:

1. Addressing bike theft will spur cycling growth.

If cities and landlords are serious about promoting cycling, they can't ignore the bike theft issue. We're eager to use data to demonstrate the increase in cycling once bicycle security issues are properly addressed.

2. Quantifying cycling's contribution to net-zero obligations will incentivize landlords to promote cycling.

We believe the contribution of cycling towards achieving a net-zero city is underestimated. Our goal is to provide cyclists with carbon offset data after their rides, making them feel good about their eco-friendly choice and encouraging them to cycle more.

Moreover, we're convinced that if landlords understand how promoting cycling can help meet their net-zero obligations, they will be more inclined to invest in cycling initiatives.

When we shared our plans with Natasha Terinova, a fantastic founder-friend and prop tech VC with a strong interest in transport, she thought we could benefit from some carbon domain expertise. She recommended we apply for Carbon13.

Our Experience with Carbon13 So Far

We're now into our second week of the Carbon13 programme, and it's been an eye-opener! The team is helping us construct our carbon cases, which has broadened our perspective immensely. We now see the importance of having a clear and scientific logics and building compelling carbon narratives. We're excited to see what else we can learn from this programme.

As summer approaches, the prime time for cycling, we have more exciting news in the pipeline. So, stay tuned! We can't wait to share our progress on this journey towards a greener future.
